March 26, 1999 Kent Henderson Dear Kent: Last fall I was talking with Darrel Olson in Kemmerer, Wyoming, and he gave me an overview of what is being considered for land ownership adjustments in Idaho. It sounds like a tremendous opportunity which could have significant benefits for managing wildlife resources. Having known and worked with Jerry Thiessen professionally when he was with Idaho Fish and Game, and with you in the early days of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF), I know Clearwater can bring expertise and credibility to the statewide exchange process. Clearwaters partnership with the RMEF here in Montana on the Two Crow acquisition, in Wyoming on the upcoming Pope/Dimond acquisition and formerly on the Rocking M easement acquisition in Idaho has been positive and productive. Clearwater has been an important partner on a number of significant wildlife land transactions. Please keep the RMEF in mind as your statewide exchange gathers momentum. Sincerely,
